Technical Brief: Java
Java is an operating system independent, object oriented programming language with application
programming interfaces (APIs) that service many application domains, including but not limited
to enterprise, financial, engineering, and scientific. It offers built-in support for relational
databases, graphical user interfaces, image processing, multimedia, networking, internet protocols,
web services, XML processing, SOAP, CORBA, and more.
